March 22: Camiguin
Slept like a baby and got up at 6:00 am for a quick cup of coffee and caught the 7:30 am ferry for Camiguin. The hour ferry ride flew by as we shared stories with our new friends (German guy and Filipino lady). From here, we jumped on a Jeepney to a spot that had an ATM and a Julibee.
After a tasty breakfast, we jumped on a tricycle for a ride to our hotel (Paguia’s Cottages). The hotel room was nice — functional AC, cozy bed, and clean bathroom. Unfortunately, it didn’t have a hot pot so morning coffee will be a challenge.
After a workout, we made our way to lunch for more traditional Filipino food. We had really tasty chicken curry. We also made plans for two days of tours that we will hang with our new friends.
We grabbed a big bottle of beer that we drank along the shore as we watched the sunset. We talked about the book that I’m starting to read, “Find Your Why.” I wondered about what my purpose was now that I’m semi retired.
