March 19: Swimming with Whale Sharks in Donsol

We had an incredible morning swimming with Whale Sharks in their natural habitat off the coast of Donsol.  It took me a while to get used to this type of whale shark adventure but I eventually hit my stride by the third sighting.  I swam with the Whale Shark for about 5 minutes — amazing!!!  The fish was huge — 10-12 meters in length and massive width.  

After a wonderful morning, the rest of the day was less exciting as we spent the remainder of the day traveling.  It started with a tricycle to Pilar Port where we needed to get an S Pass completed.  It was wicked hot as we waited in the terminal to board our boat to Masbate.  The two hour ride went quickly as I napped for the last hour. 

Once in Masbate, we needed to get our ticket to ride the overnight boat to Cebu.  We ended up in a room with a nice young family with an 18 month baby boy.
