March 16: Day of Errands
It was a day of errands as I tried to fight off the side effects of yesterday’s booster shot. I got a morning workout in and sent all my clothes to the laundry.
After picking up laundry at 11:30 am, we checked out of the Bayview Park Hotel and headed to the immigration office to extend our visa. The process was efficient and we were in and out in only 15 minutes although it did cost us a little of $60 each. From here, it was off to the airport so that Kimchi could use her mileage points with Asiana Airlines to book flights to Korea and then to Boston. Although there wasn’t anyone there physically, she took care of this task with assistance from a representative over the phone. I used my credit card points to book my flight to Korea in business class for about $700 or 50,000 points. Later, I booked an economy flight to Boston for only $384 with an 11 hour layover in San Francisco. Exhausted— I was sleeping by 7:00 pm after an awful meal of Caesar salad and pizza from Hotel 101.
