March 13: Kayangan Lake
Another day — another island hopping tour. The day began with some snorkeling at Coral Gardens. It was quite frankly the most beautiful coral we’ve seen while snorkeling— I still think Pigeon Island in Sri Lanka is my favorite spot but this site is a close second. We couldn’t get Kimchi out of the water as she spent an hour and a half exploring the beautiful coral.
Next, we did some kayaking at Baracuda Lake, which was picturesque. It was a quick stop here before heading to the famous Kayangan Lake. This stop offered some incredible spots for pictures — one at the top of the stairs looking down on where all the boats dock and another at the actual lake. The lake reminded me a little of Lake Louise in Canada with its turquoise blue water surrounded by hills/mountains.
After lunch, we stopped by Beach 91 to relax. Kimchi slept and I swam. Our last stop was another highlight as we kayaked through Twin Lagoons. This area again reminded me of Lake Hector in Canada where we kayaked on a beautiful lake.
