March 11: Virgin Island
Just got into bed at 10:00 pm with a morning that started at 4:45 am. Is there such a thing as too much of a good thing? Probably
We got picked up at 6:00 am from our hotel for an island hopping tour. We saw dolphins, snorkeled with tons of fish, and swam with turtles— I was right on top of one of them. All super fun things but the highlight was unquestionably our stop at Virgin Beach. It brought a whole new meaning to al fresco dining as we ate raw seafood on a tiny strip of sand— with water at our feet as we ate sea urchins, sea shells and sea cucumber. What a beautiful and unique spot
Got back to the hotel at 12 and got picked up at 1 —this time heading out to the country to see the Tarsier and the Chocolate Hills. Thought we’d see Tarsiers in the wild but it was more like a mini zoo with only 4 of them. Next, it was off to the Chocolate Hills — it was a beautiful spot for pics with a lot of people having the same idea. Our next stop was to see fireflies but the price was too steep — I was pretty gassed so I didn’t mind but Kimchi suggested a massage in its place. So we ended up getting a 90 minute one that was awesome— think we both napped during a portion of it.
