April 1: Welcome to South Korea

We arrived in South Korea on time and I began to realize that this country was firing on all cylinders.  Their organization and attention to detail was seen everywhere from the airport customs process to the bus transportation.   

From the airport, we first took an hour-long bus ride — I slept most of the trip.  Next, it was a taxi ride to the train station and finally, a two hour train ride in which I again slept through most of it.  From the train station, we had another 30 minute taxi ride to our really nice guest house in Kyungju.  We arrived at about 1:00 pm with time to explore the beautiful cherry blossoms.
