February 7: Turtle Point

The morning started perfectly with an excellent workout, and delicious breakfast.  From there, we took a crazy and cheap bus ride to Matera to buy snorkeling gear ($50.00).  After making this purchase, we took the bus back to Mirissa to explore Turtle Point.

First, we snorkeled for about an hour.  Unfortunately, it was not the best day for it as we saw only a few fish.  The fact that the water felt like 80 degrees made it bearable.  After a quick tasty lunch, we walked up a small hill that offered incredible views of Turtle Point.  We took a ton of pictures before walking back to the hotel.
