February 6: Mirissa

It was our last day with our driver as we decided to cancel the last three days of our tour.  We had asked the owner to allow us to visit another National Park that wasn’t on the original itinerary and he advised that we would have to pay an additional fee.  That was the straw that broke the camel’s back – his lack of flexibility was disheartening.

The morning was awesome for me — coffee, workout, and swim!! After breakfast, it was off to Mirissa — a beautiful beach town with plenty of surfers, divers and beach bums.  We checked into the Paradise Beach Resort with an ocean view and a huge room.

After checking in, we asked the driver to drop us off downtown.  From there, we walked around various shops.  We ran into lots of young, fit and scantily clad vacationers.  It was a long, hot walk back to the hotel.

Kimchi cooked a delicious meal in the kitchen.  We showered and were in bed by 6:30 pm
