February 23: 100 Island National Park

It was an early alarm day today—we were up at 4:00 am to board the 5:30 am bus to Aliminos.  We got there at 7:00 and Kimchi had the tuk tuk driver take us immediately to the market where she picked up some lettuce and fruit. From here, we quickly transitioned to our hotel (Island Tropic Hotel) and had breakfast.

Unfortunately, we missed the connection with the party of 10 but hooked up with two other couples. The tour of the islands was ok but not amazing— the highlight for me was the pilgrimage island that had a life size “stations of the cross” and cave diving.  I jumped right in twice and coaxed one of the ladies to jump in too. Bad decision as I had to drag her back to shore as she couldn’t swim.  I was exhausted when we finally made it back to the boat.
