February 18: Last Day in Sri Lanka

It is our last day in Sri Lanka and we celebrated by relaxing at the CityRest Hotel until about 11:30 am.  We also had a delicious breakfast and I completed an intense workout.  We also scored a good deal ($672) on tickets to Manila after a brief scare that the cheaper flights were all gone.

We then made our way to the Columbo C1 Fort Hotel where we had lunch and booked a flight to Korea for March 18.  With this accomplished, we went to the Galle Mall and bought two new suitcases for me and one small one for Kimchi— all for $225.

After a quick shower, we had an excellent dinner of rice and chicken curry along with a tasty “Thai Me Up” dish.  We each had a beer as part of happy hour (buy one and get the second one free). I also had a wicked good Cosmopolitan!!!

Despite some heavy rain, we made it to the airport and checked in without incident— shocking! They finally let us into the gate area at 11:15 pm and we waited patiently— actually Kimchi  just slept.
