February 13: Super Bowl Sunday at Hikkaduwa Beach

Happy Super Bowl Sunday!! We started the day by going down to the beach to snorkel. There were lots of beautiful fish in the shallow waters by the coral.  It was really difficult to navigate the coral while swimming.

After a workout and breakfast, it was off to the center of town to explore the local market.  Kimchi didn’t disappoint as she purchased a bunch of vegetables, shrimp and eggs.  

When we got back, I went swimming by the hotel and then walked to Hikkaduwa Beach.  I swam there too before stumbling over a crowd who were feeding a huge sea turtle.

Kimchi made bibimbap for lunch — it was delicious.  We also enjoyed an excellent bottle of wine.

Valentine's Day is tomorrow – heading out now to grab a card and some flowers.
