January 9: Abu Simbel

Ugh — we were greeted by a 3:30 am alarm for our trip to Abu Simbel this morning.  I was in a total funk as we boarded our mini bus.  A and I slept a good portion of the 4 hour trip from Aswan. 

Upon our arrival, we explore the incredibly well preserved Temple of Abu Simbel.  The sculpture and art work on the exterior and interior was spectacular.  We both got some excellent pictures and videos to capture the moment before surviving an extensive bazaar.
