January 7: Luxor

After approximately 13 hours on that flipping train, we finally made it to Luxor just before 2:00 pm.  We met Mando who Kimchi had contacted earlier.  He took us to the Pyramisa Hotel.  

A and I worked out for about 45 minutes while Kimchi negotiated an amazing deal with Mando — including a tour of Luxor, private transport to Aswan, and a tour of Abu Simbel.

After the workout, we got a taxi to the Luxor Temple where we drank two beers that Kimch bought for us. We took some great pics of the temple and the Nile River.  Next, it was off to the market to buy some fruits and vegetables.  With bags in tow, we made it to Mando’s hostel for a delicious chicken dinner.

Finally, we got a buggy ride back to the hotel.  Lights out by 9:00 pm
