January 5: White Desert

Lots of driving today as we traveled from Giza to the White Desert.  We left our hotel at 7:00 am and embarked on the 4+ hour drive to the desert.  

We first made a stop at the Black Desert where A and I scaled the large dune.  We grabbed a couple of pics before doing some nice 4 wheeling around the desert.  We stopped at a few perfect photo opp locations including the mushroom and the chicken . A  sand boarded down a tall dune~~ not surprising that he did very well.

Got back to camp for sunset, which was spectacular.  Rda began to cook as we relaxed and ate some fruit. As nightfall approached, we were blown away by the incredible amount of stars.

The tent was super cool and had plenty of room for the three of us to sleep. Rda cooked in the tent and even brought coals in to heat tea.
