January 3: The Boy Arrives in Egypt

Pretty relaxing morning — we took our time getting up.  I did a workout on the rooftop overlooking the Pyramids.  It was definitely one of the most picturesque spots I ever completed an exercise routine.

Kimchi and I had breakfast upstairs and then we walked to get a SIM card.  Next, we walked through a Souk but had no money to buy anything.  One guy gave us some free bread but didn’t allow us to take pictures of the process.

We went to lunch at a spot that sold Kushary.  It’s a dish that combines Arabic and Italian cooking.  The food was pretty good but Kimchi became upset when she realized the food was overpriced.  It ended up turning into a shouting match -- we ended up paying 100 instead of 140 Egyptian pounds. 

Alex finally arrived at about 7:00 pm and we went immediately to the rooftop to take a few pics.  We had dinner at the same place as last night and at a ton.
