January 12-13: Sharm El Sheik

Negotiated a 60 EP deal with a taxi driver for a ride to Hurghada airport. Flight to Sharm El Sheik was officially the shortest I’ve ever been on as it lasted only 20 minutes. We easily doubled this time negotiating a taxi ride to Dahab, which was over an hour away.  The bidding started at 700 — fell to 500 and then really plunged when we began walking to exit the airport.  I got someone for 400 but Kimchi kept walking and eventually got 300.  The driver was fuming and complained the whole ride.

Upon arrival, we quickly checked in and walked by the bevy of restaurants, dive shops and hotels along the Red Sea.  Some beautiful views from many restaurants but we chose a Chinese one off the main road without a view of the sea.  On our way back, we stopped at a few hotels to book 4 nights closer to the action.

Still feeling under the weather, we collapsed almost immediately.  Being sick sucks

January 12: Rest & Recovery Day

We barely made it out of bed today.  Outside of getting breakfast and dropping/picking up laundry— it was a sleep and recovery day.

We have an 11:00 am flight to Sharm El Sheik in the morning.  Hope that we feel better
