December 20: Bar Al Hikman Day 1

Another early wake up was in store for today — we packed and left camp early. We made one stop by a beach with a bunch of fishermen.  Next, we made our way to another beach for a quick workout of abs and arms.  

We just made it — drove on the ferry at 8:58 am — for a 9:00 am transport.  We quickly made our way to Mahoot to exchange money, fill the gas tank and buy a tent.  We met Samil at about 12:30 for the 35 minute ride to Bar Al Hikman.  

Upon arrival, we were greeted by an incredible oasis of crystal clear water of blue lagoon and expansive sea.  We ate lunch with other guests — a group of powerlifting friends.  

At sunset, we met a Korean couple that made Kimchi’s day.  In fact, she snuck off to see them to eat kimchi and talk — she was in heaven

Accommodations: A

It is an absolutely picturesque place — super peaceful and relaxing.  The quiet and serenity was a nice continuation of our time in Masirah Island.  As far as the tent,  the bed was tiny and super uncomfortable.  The bathroom and shower are what you might expect with an open roof to the sky.  The shower water was cool which made for a quick rinse.

Upon arrival, we had a fish lunch with chicken curry. Kimchi ate like she was just released from prison.  She kept up with the big boys.
