November 3: Antalya, Turkey

It was quite a start to our international world tour as we were scheduled to fly to Thailand from JFK on November 1st.  However, the best lay plans of mice and men often go astray,  and in our case, our paperwork was denied to access Thailand.  After the shock of this major disappointment, we recovered and bought tickets to Turkey.  You might ask, "Why Turkey?" We only needed a negative COVID test to gain entry and Kimchi raved about her initial visit here.  

We didn't leave JFK until the early morning hours of November 2nd and didn't arrive in Antalya until late evening on November 3rd.  After picking up our rental car at the airport, we drove to the Pudding Marina Hotel in old town Antalya.  I was blown away by the narrow cobblestoned streets and late night revelers on a Thursday night.
